£20m Man City star reacts to ‘nice and humble’ former teammate

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang whipped up a storm earlier this week during Dortmund’s win over HSV.

The Gabon international pulled out a mask following his goal. Aubameyang is known for his love of superhero characters and previously wore a Spiderman masks.

However, Aubameyang was fined by Dortmund following his celebration earlier this week.

It seems the mask he wore this time was used by  Nike – Aubameyang’s sponsor. Unfortunately for the star striker, the use of Nike merchandise conflicted with the clubs sponsorship with Puma.

Ilkay Gundogan took to social media today to back his former teammate. The pair played together while Gundogan was at Dortmund.

Gundogan has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury he suffered back in December.

The Germany international is expected to return in time for City’s pre-season tour of the USA.
