£22m Man United target ‘wanted’ by Jose Mourinho demands pay rise, Euro giants facing anxious wait over his future

Besiktas face an anxious wait over the future of Anderson Talisca according to reports in Turkey.

NTV Spor report that Talisca wants a pay increase.

Per the source, the Brazilian attacking midfielder is demanding £2.6 million [€3m] €3 million per season.

The 23-year-old’s representatives are reported to be in talks with United.

Talisca is reported to be happy to stay on for another season but unless his wage demands are met he will consider his option.

The attacking midfielder has been closely linked with a move to United following an interview he gave to Brazilian outlet Globoestporte.

Talisca revealed that United boss Jose Mourinho wants him and has done so for a long time.

“That is a question I can not give an answer to just yet,” Talisca was quoted as saying.

“I cannot deny there is interest but what happens next depends on Benfica and my representatives.

“There will be news on this soon.

“Look every player dreams of playing under him [Jose Mourinho].

“Mourinho wants me, he has wanted me for a long time and I am an admirer of his work.

“I had a good season so we will see what happens.”

Benfica agreed to a two-year loan deal with Besiktas last season but it is worth underlining that he also has a £22 million [€25m] release clause which can be activated.

Besiktas lifted the league title for the second season running this season and Talisca played a major role in his side winning the championship.

Talisca scored 17 times and provided six assists in all competitions this season.

The Black Eagles could end up facing United in the Champions League group stages this season.

Besiktas finished the group stage in third-place last season and reached the Europa League quarter-finals.
