£27m Everton Transfer Warns Tottenham About What Happened Last Time He Faced Them

Everton snapped up Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun on a £27 million deal last week.

The Turkey international became the most expensive player to leave the Super Lig in the process.

Tosun is expected to make his debut against Tottenham on Saturday but this is not the first time he has faced Spurs.

The 26-year-old actually scored against the North London outfit the last time he played them as a Besiktas player in the 2014-15 Europa League.

The Black Eagles beat Spurs 1-0 at White Hart Lane – after drawing 1-1 in Istanbul.

“My first game will be against Tottenham. I had already played against them with Besiktas. We won against them in Istanbul with my goal (1-0). It will be a great match in the Wembley stadium,” Tosun said.

Tosun will not be playing at White Hart Lane this time around, Tottenham have temporarily moved to Wembley.

The striker will be hoping to add to his goal tally against the North London outfit over the weekend and build on his 14 goals scored this term.

The striker will be the first Turkish international player to make an appearance in the Premier League this season.

Tosun will however, join Emre Can, Ilkay Gundogan and Mesut Ozil as the fourth Germany born player of Turkish origin in the league.
