Fenerbahce are closing in on Leicester City star striker Islam Slimani according to the latest report from Sky Sports.
The Algeria international was the Foxes record signing when he joined for £28 million Sporting Lisbon back in 2016.
However, Slimani failed to impress at Leicester City and ended up spending the tail end of last season out on loan with Newcastle United.
According to SkySports, Fenerbahce have struck a deal with Slimani to take the 30-year-old on loan for 12 months.
Per the source, the deal could even go through tonight however, Fenerbahce have until the end of the month to wrap up the transfer.
Slimani made just four Premier League appearances for Newcastle United last term and has another three years remaining on his contract with Leicester City.
The Foxes kick-off their Premier League season against Man United on Friday at Old Trafford.
Leicester City meanwhile are close to completing the signing of Caglar Soyuncu from the Bundesliga side Frieberg.
