Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has been closely linked with a summer exit this summer.
Turkish-Football have reported Arsenal as expressing a keen interest in the 22-year-old defender.
Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dogru did recently inform us that four Premier League sides are interested in signing the young defender but did not reveal the names of the clubs.
“There are four Premier League sides who’ve made a move for Soyuncu, that we are in talks with,” Dogru said.
The Manchester Evening News report that Soyuncu is among one of several players being targeted by Manchester United.
Per the source, signing a centre-back is United’s priority this summer.
The report claims the Red Devils have eight centre-backs on their radar over the transfer window.
The Red Devils want a defender aged between 23-29 who has played in the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga or Bundesliga.
Soyuncu ticks the Bundesliga box having spent the past two seasons at Freiburg.
The Turkish international’s camp are reportedly remaining ‘tight-lipped’ over a potential move.
The Bundesliga outfit value their rising star as being worth in the region of £30 million.
Freiburg will have to pay 25 percent of any future transfer to Soyuncu’s former club Altinordu.
United have until August 9 to complete their transfer activity this summer.
The Premier League giants kick off their pre-season at Carrington on July 9.
