Arsenal have been closely linked with a move for Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu.
Soyuncu opened up about his future, revealing a decision regarding whether he will play in the Premier League next season will be made at some stage over the next two weeks.
“It is too early to say right now but everything will be clear within the next one-two weeks,” Soyuncu said.
The 21-year-old would become the sole Turkey international in the Arsenal side but the second player of Turkish origin alongside Mesut Ozil.
The defender enjoyed a meteoric rise from playing in the Turkish second tier to establishing himself as a Bundesliga rising star over the past two seasons.
Freiburg value their hot prospect as being worth £35 million and his contract does run until 2021.
Turkish-Football has reported that Soyuncu is however, keen on a move to the Premier League.
Former club Altinordu stand to make in the region of £9 million should the Gunners snap up the defender for the fee Frieburg want.
Soyuncu could become recently appointed manager Unai Emery’s first transfer if the deal goes through.
