£42m Arsenal superstar reveals he’s set for Manchester United move – Turkish report
Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil could be on his way out of the north London-based club in the near future.
The 29-year-old has – so far – refused to pen a new deal with Arsenal and could end up leaving the club for free next summer.
According to the daily Turkish newspaper Sabah, Ozil has held talks with Fenerbahce officials in Istanbul.
However, the report states that Ozil told Fenerbahce that he is keen on staying in England and that a move to Manchester United is ‘a very serious proposal.’
“Manchester United is a very serious proposal. I’ll probably be transferred there,” Ozil stated according to the Sabah.
The move will be a massive blow to Arsenal fans who previously watched Robin van Persie make the move from north London to Manchester.
To make matters worse, Ozil played a starring role during the Gunners 2-0 win over Tottenham in the Premier League last weekend.
Ozil – who made the move to Arsenal for £42 million back in September 2013 – is expected to be back in action this weekend when Arsenal take on Burnley FC.
