Everton star striker Cenk Tosun could be set for a windfall in goal-scoring chances this season, according to Brazilian reporter Rodrigo Calvozzo.
The Goal.com assistant editor believes the new Everton signing Richarlison could turn Tosun into a goal machine.
Tosun made the move to Everton from Besiktas in a deal worth £26 million back in January. Following a turbulent start, Cenk did manage to find his feet in the Premier League and scored four goals in 15 appearances.
The Toffees have further strengthened their attacking line this summer with the arrival of Richarlison from Watford for an eye-watering £50 million.
“Richarlison is a very smart, intelligent player but he is not a typical Brazilian.” Calvozzo told the Liverpool Echo.
“He’s not a number nine, he’s a winger who is very fast and if he has a number nine beside him it’s perfect because he’ll open space for this player and makes a lot of goals.
“He helped transform the game of centre-forward Henrique Dourado who is now at Flamengo but they were together at Fluminense.
“In 2016 he hardly scored (2 goals) but with Richarlison alongside him in 2017 he became the most important striker in Brazil (32 goals).”

Tosun recently returned to pre-season training with Everton and travelled with the rest of the squad to Portugal. The 27-year-old scored four goals in the UEFA Champions League last season and scored three goals for the national team over the summer.
