Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet is set “to complete” a season-long loan move to Bursaspor according to SkySports.
Per the source, Saivet underwent a medical with Bursaspor this morning and will begin training with his new teammates.
Saivet joined Newcastle for £5 million from Bordeaux back in 2016 but failed to secure a place in the Magpies squad. The 27-year-old has made just five Premier League appearances for Newcastle United since his move.
Saivet is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig after spending the second half of last season out on loan with Sivasspor.
The Senegalese midfielder has spent the last two seasons out on loan and has another three years remaining on his contract with Newcastle.
Bursaspor’s newly appointed manager Samet Aybaba previously coached Saivet during his spell in charge of Sivasspor last season.
Newcastle United suffered a defeat t the hands of Tottenham last weekend. The Magpies take on the newly promoted Cardiff on Saturday.
