£65m Liverpool Ace Reveals He Could Have Joined Euro Giants Prior Italy Switch

£65 million Liverpool summer signing Alisson Becker has revealed that he considered a move to Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray in the past.

The Brazil national team goalkeeper joined the Reds following an impressive spell with AS Roma.

However, prior to his move to Italy, Alisson was close to a move to Galatasaray.

According to the Brazilian outlet Super Esportes, Alisson has a close relationship with Selecao legend Claudio Taffarel.

Taffarel was the goalkeeping coach at Galatasaray during the 2015-16 season. Per the source, the Lions made an offer for Alisson but the transfer never materialised.

Alisson has gone on to establish himself as one of the world’s leading goalkeepers.
