Liverpool summer signing Alisson Becker has commented on Besiktas goalkeeper Loris Karius’s UEFA Champions League nightmare.
Karius was Liverpool’s first-choice keeper last season but made a string of costly errors in the final against Real Madrid.
The German keeper subsequently joined Besiktas on a two-year loan deal while Liverpool signed Alisson for £66 million.
Following Liverpool’s 3-2 win over PSG on Tuesday, Alisson spoke about his former teammate.
“It’s our profession. He did very well throughout the Champions League [last season],” Becker was quoted as saying by Goal.
“Mistakes happen. Only the players on the pitch can do something wrong. Life goes on.
“I came here to do my job in the best way to help the club, it’s a great club.
“We have a lot ahead of us and we have a lot of work still to do.”

Karius is expected to start for Besiktas when they take on Sarpsbog in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Liverpool meanwhile will be looking to maintain their winning run of form when they host Southampton at Anfield in the Premier League this weekend.
