BBC football pundit and former Tottenham forward Garth Crooks has heaped praise on Arsenal’s playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The 27-year-old found the back of the net in the 30th minute of Arsenal’s clash with Norwich City over the weekend.
“His goal might have come from a John Ruddy mistake in the Norwich goal, but it was then beautifully taken advantage of by Arsenal and brilliantly executed by Mesut Ozil,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
Ozil has been on an impressive run of form in recent weeks including goals against Bayern Munich and rivals Manchester United.
The Gunners side looked set to record a comfortable victory over Norwich following Ozil’s early goal however, the Canaries managed to level the score before the break.
Arsenal were unable to to find the winning goal meaning they were unable to capitalise on Manchester United’s draw with Leicester City.
There was yet more disappointment as Arsenal’s star man Alexis Sanchez picked up what looked to be a hamstring injury. Laurent Koscielny also came off injured to add to Arsenal’s injury problems.
