Newcastle United have joined the race for Beşiktaş winger Kerim Frei according to Turkish sports newspaper AMK.
The report claims that Newcastle have been keeping close tabs on Frei and that a loan move could be on the cards.
The Magpies could however, face stiff competition from West Brom who the Takvim newspaper report are scouting Frei.
The Baggies are also linked with a temporary move for the Turkish international winger but Beşiktaş are yet to comment on the speculation.
The 21-year-old is of course no stranger to Premier League football having risen through the ranks of the Fulham academy before his move to the Istanbul giants.
Frei was first spotted by Swiss side Grasshoppers aged 13 and was snapped up by Fulham just three years later.
After rising through the youth ranks the Fulham starlet was given his Premier League debut on 10 December 2011, in an away match against Swansea City aged just 18 and joined joined Beşiktaş on a €3.5 million in 2014.
Frei has scored six goals and two assists in 71 appearances in all competitions for the Istanbul giants this season.
