Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu could be sold for the right price according to club CEO Michael Schade.
The Bayer boss stated that the club aim to produce world class stars and sell them on for the right price.
“What we can do is develop him and make him as expensive as possible.”
Manchester United have been closely linked with the Turkish international star and have been keeping tabs on him according to the Bild. The report claims that Bayer want at least €40 million for the 21-year-old.
Çalhanoğlu is one of the most highly rated players of his generation and renowned as being a free-kick specialist. The Bayer playmaker has six goals and six assists in 23 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit in all competitions.
The 21-year-old is unlikely to leave the club over the winter transfer window as he has another four-years remaining on his current deal and would be cup-tied in the Champions League even if he were to join United in January.
