Mesut Ozil was rated as the ‘man of the match’ by WhoScored during Arsenal’s win over Sunderland in the Premier League.
The North London based side recorded a 3-1 victory moving them up into second place in the standings. Both Manchester United and City dropped points yesterday in the league.
Ozil received a rating of 8.5 from WhoScored after making five key passes and taking 122 touches on the ball during the game.
The 27-year-old has been in great form for Arsenal so good in fact that even players on rival teams have had to admit just how impressive he has been.
Tottenham star Cristien Erikson was quoted by the Metro as saying: “I used to watch him when I was at Ajax and he was at Real Madrid.
“It’s a joke how good he is.”
Arsenal have 30 points after 15 games and take on Olympiakos in the UEFA Champions League next week.
