Trabzonspor midfielder Mehmet Ekici revealed that he is looking forwards to the game against Beşiktaş match next week.
“Every match is important for us, we must show the same intensity for every game, in every competition,” Ekici said.
“I want to congratulate all my teammates and manager Ersun Yanal who the performance we put on last week against Gençlerbirliği.
“We played a great game, got into many goal scoring positions and finished our chances.
“What was important was getting the three points but the manner in which we won was just as important in my opinion as we showed exaclty what we are capable of.
“Now we have a tough game coming up against Beşiktaş, this will be a major test for us, one we hope we will pass.”
Ekici first made a name for himself as a hot talent while developing at the Bayern Munich youth academy.
The German giants loaned him out to 1 FC. Nuremberg in 2010 a one year deal and he was signed by Werder Bremen the following season.
The 24-year-old was signed by Trabzonspor for £1.3 million this summer on a four-year deal.
Ekici has two goals and four assists in all competitions this season.
