Beşiktaş are set to table a bid for Stuttgart midfielder Robin Yalçın according to Eurosport Turkey.

The 20-year-old midfielder is being lined up as a replacement should either Veli Kavlak or Atiba Hutchinson sign for another club over the winter break.

Kavlak and Hutchinson will be able to enter direct talks with other clubs in January if Beşiktaş fail to renew their contract.

Yalçın impressed Beşiktaş scouts with his work rate and passing accuracy.

Beşiktaş have a policy of bringing in young players of Turkish origin from around Europe and giving them first-team football opportunities.

The Süper Lig outfit has become an attractive destination for young Turkish players in Europe to establish themselves over recent years.

Twenty-year old ex-Fulham winger Kerim Frei, 22-year-old former Chelsea winger and 21-year-old ex-Arsenal midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup all play regularly for Beşiktaş.

Yalçın currently plays in the Stuttgart reserves but has made three appearances for the senior side.

The 20-year-old was born in Germany but can play as a domestic Turkish player due to being an ethnic Turk.
