Beşiktaş welcome reigning champions and rivals to their temporary home of the Atatürk Olympic stadium for Istanbul derby.
The Black Eagles were dumped out of the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon after Tolga Zengin had a meltdown in goal.
Beşiktaş boss Şenol Güneş has decided to leave Zengin out the squad following a number of costly errors and Günay is expected to get the nod.
Galatasaray were also knocked out of the Champions League, but will face Lazio the Europa League Round of 32 after finishing third in their group.
Beşiktaş have no major injury concerns other than long term absentee Tolgay Arslan and Veli Kavlak.
Galatasaray meanwhile will have to make do without on-loan Manchester City defender Jason Denayer and full-back Lionel Carol. The missing defensive players could prove costly against one of the leagues most dangerous attacking based sides – 32 goals already this season.
Beşiktaş are currently second in the league just one point behind league leaders Fenerbahçe and will go top with a win. Galatasaray meanwhile are fourth – 7 points behind Fenerbahçe – and in danger of losing touch with the leading pack should they lose.
Galatasaray have been inconsistent recently which is to be expected considering Mustafa Denizli only replaced Hamza Hamzaoğlu as manager just over a fortnight ago.
Beşiktaş are in better form going into the tie but have yet to win a single derby game in their last 10 tries.
The Black Eagles have been flying high in the league and scoring for fun but as they showed against Sporting they have a soft underbelly and are prone to imploding even when in control of a game.
The leagues two highest scoring sides go head to head in what is likely to be a heated Istanbul derby so expect plenty of goals.
