Fenerbahce’s star right-back Gokhan Gonul has been linked with a move to Benfica according to Eurosport TR.
The report states that Benfica have joined Valencia in the hunt for the Turkish international.
Gonul’s contract with Fenerbahce expires at the end of the season meaning the 30-year-old will be free to hold contract talks with clubs in January.
The attacking right-back has been one of the star’s of Fenerbahce’s season making 11 appearances for the Yellow Canaries.
Gonul is understood to be happy at Fenerbahce but is yet to hold contract talks with his current club.
The former Genclerbirligi player has 53 international caps and is expected to be included in the squad which will travel to France for Euro 2016.
Fenerbahce currently find themselves in second place in the Turkish Super Lig with 34 points in 15 games. The Istanbul Giants take on Gençlerbirliği this weekend in the league.
