The Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is Juventus’ top priority going into the winter transfer window according to Goal.
However, Dortmund recently rejected a bid form Juve for Gündoğan according to Calcio Mercatto. The report states that Dortmund are unwilling to let the Germany international leave during the January transfer window.
Borussia Dortmund Manager Thomas Tuchel stated that he is not fond of January transfer window and is not looking to offload or sign any players.
“I’m not a fan of winter transfers. The team shows every day how hard they work and what achievements they are capable of,” Tuchel was quoted as saying by 90min.
“I’m not naive, I know some players are less satisfied with their role, so I can’t rule anything out. I wouldn’t mind if we started the second half with completely the same selection.”
Gündoğan has been linked with a move to Liverpool since the appointment of Jugen Klopp.
The 25-year-old has hinted at a move to Liverpool during a recent interview with the German tabloid newspaper Bild. “They have a good team, a great coach,” Gündoğan stated.
Dortmund sit in second place in the Bundesliga with 38 points in 16 games.
