Arda Turan joined Barcelona last summer but has had to wait patiently for his debut due to the club being hit with a FIFA transfer ban restricting the reigning La Liga champions from registering any new players.
Barcelona will finally be able to register Turan when the transfer window opens in January and the bearded winger is expected to make his debut in the derby against Espanyol so we thought it would be worthwhile looking into the
Galatasaray
Arda Turan joined Galatasaray as a youth and served as a ball boy before making his debut in 2005 after a season spent out on loan. Turan was originally a fullback before being converted into a winger by Ersun Yanal during his loan term at Manisaspor.
Turan went onto to become a key member of Galatasaray’s squad the following year and was named captain at the age of just 21.
The 28-year-old lead his side to the Turkish Cup in 2004-05 and the Turkish Super Lig title in the 2007-08 and also won the Turkish Super Cup in 2008.
