Guangzhou Evergrande linked with €15 million move for Galatasaray star

The Chinese football club Guangzhou Evergrande are reportedly preparing a €15 million bid for Galatasaray’s striker Burak Yilmaz.

According to the Turkish newspaper Fotospor, Guangzhou manager Fabio Cannavaro has instructed the clubs board to sign Yilmaz.

The report goes onto say that Guangzhou can double Yilmaz’s wages and that the Turkish international would be willing to make the move to China.

Yilmaz has scored nine goals in 19 appearances this season for Galatasaray.

The 29-year-old striker scored eight goals in nine Champions League appearances in the 2012-13 season, playing a crucial role in guiding Galatasaray to the quarter-finals.

The prolific striker scored 16 goals and made eight assists in 32 Super League appearances over the course of the last campaign.

Yilmaz has four years remaining on his contract.
