The Lions last scored five goals in an away game against Sivasspor. Galatasaray beat the Yiğidolar 5-3 in the 2007-08 season.
Galatasaray also scored more than two goals in the Süper Lig for the first time this season.
Lions boss Hamza Hamzaoğlu revealed that he was pleased with his teams response to losing 4-1 against Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
“We played fantastic up until the last 15 minutes,” Hamzaoğlu said.
“The team kept disciplined and defended well as a team.
“The players were unbelievable today, they scored five times despite being tired mentally and physically from the Champions League game.
“We started the game well and found early goals which really helped.
“Konyaspor are one of the leagues toughest sides to place away from home so it makes the nature of the win even more special.
“Hopefully this is just the start and we keep playing at this level.”
