Demba Ba looking forward to playing Liverpool again [divider]
Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba revealed that he is looking forward to facing Liverpool against following the Europa League Round of 32 draw.
Ba tweeted, “Good draw. Back to england once again. To face @LFC.”
The Senegalese international has been in prolific form for the Black Eagles, scoring 16 times in 18 appearances.
Ba famously scored against Liverpool last season while playing for Chelsea. Steven Gerrard’s infamous slip against the Blues allowed Ba a free run on goal to give the London based side the lead the lead.
“It’s a difficult pairing. Liverpool are having some hard times now,” Ba was quoted as saying on the official UEFA website.
“They couldn’t get the results they desired and things are not going well for them.
“Hard games are ahead of us.
“They are a team which try to strike fast and build up the game as quickly as possible.
“Their technical capacity is high and they are physically strong.
“If we can snatch a good result in the first leg, it will be an advantage to be playing the second leg at home.”
Liverpool have struggled in the Premier League this season, the Reds are in 10th place after 16 games.
