Galatasaray 0-0 Konyaspor: Lions fail to make up lost ground

Galatasaray failed to make up lost ground on league leaders Fenerbahce who lost 4-2 against Antalyaspor on the weekend.

The Lions went into the game lacking attacking options after Burak Yilmaz became the latest player to join the Chinese Super League but matters were made worse when Sinan Gumus picked up an injury.

Galatasaray failed to find a way through the Konyaspor defence and ended the week 12 points behind rivals Fenerbahce.

Pressure is beginning to build up on Mustafa Denizli. Galatasaray were just 5 points behind leaders Besiktas when Hmazaoglu was sacked.

Besiktas remain seven points ahead of the Lions with three games in hand.
