Hamzaoğlu rests Wesley Sneijder and Aurelian Chedjou [divider]
Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu has rested Wesley Sneijder and Aurelian Chedjou against Gençlerbirliği.
“Both players had injuries, I did not want to risk them ahead of the derby,” Hamzaoğlu said.
“If they had played they may have got injured.
“We had to rest them, we have enough quality to replace them, we have a very strong team nobody should doubt our quality.
“The players who will play in their place are very important to us.
“Hopefully they make the most of this opportunity and prove themselves this evening.”
Chedjou has a knee injury while Sneijder has a problem with his foot.
Sneijder and Chedjou have played regular first team football for Galatasaray this season.
Galatasaray are also without Felipe Melo who is suspended and the injured Blerim Dzemaili.
