Borussia Monchengladbach wanted Enes Ünal this summer according to his agent Batur Altıparmak.
“There are a number of clubs from Spain and Germany keeping close tabs on Enes,” Altıparmak said.
“Monchengladback were interested, in fact they made a bid and had agreed terms, everything was in place for Enes to move to Germany but all that happened just when the club president died.
“After the president died the deal fell through.
“But one way or another Enes will make his move to Europe.”
The 17-year-old striker has an extraordinary international record hitting the back of the net 24 times in 25 games for the U16’s and has already received call-ups to the U19 as well as the U21 sides.
Ünal became the youngest player ever to score in the Süper Lig last season and already has six first team goals for the Green Crocodiles.
