Emre Can has urged caution ahead of Liverpool’s second leg clash with Manchester United in the Europa League next week.
The Red’s recorded an impressive 2-0 win over their bitter rivals at Anfield on Thursday and are heavy favourites to advance to the net round.
“But it’s a great scoreline for us to take into the second leg and we need to keep going like that at Old Trafford. Can told the Liverpool Echo.
“We have to keep it up if we’re going to go through.
“We need to play like we did in that first half. De Gea is a very good goalkeeper and he made some great saves.”
Can received a rating of 7.6 from WhoScored for his performance on the night. The Germany international made four successful tackles and one interception.
The 22-year-old helped his side keep possession with a passing accuracy of 85% after making 68 passes. The former Bayern Munich man also contributed on the attacking front with two successful dribbles and one key pass.
Can has provided one assist and scored two goal in 41 appearances for Liverpool this season. The Red’s next game is against Man Utd at old Trafford where a draw or 1-0 defeat will see them win the tie.
