Beşiktaş have the fixture list of a Premier League side according to Veli Kavlak.
“The team is really starting to feel the strain of playing so many games in quick succession,” Kavlak said following the 2-1 win against Konyaspor.
“This is starting to become more and more apparent in games, we were poor against Bursa and struggled against Konyaspor.
“Players are stressed, there is a flu going round, teammates are mentally and physically tired.
“No other team in Turkey has played as many games in this short amount of time as us.
“We have had the fixture list of a Premier League side for 7-8 weeks now.
“Despite all of these problems we have managed to keep on winning and deserve credit for that.
“Our performance was not the best today but we are still top and have won seven games in a row.”
Beşiktaş will have played 13 matches within 42 days by the end of the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray next week, which works out at roughly three games a week.
