Inter Milan are closing in on a deal for Fenerbahce full-back Caner Erkin according to Turkish football show ‘Beyaz Futbol’.
Turkish reporter Dündar Keşaplı told Beyaz Futbol presenter Ertem Şener live on air that an offer has been made and that a deal could be struck.
Erkin currently has six-months remaining on his current deal and will be available on a free transfer if Fenerbahce are unable to renew his terms.
The Yellow Canaries are currently locked in contract talks with the Turkish international left-back but a deal has yet to be reached.
Erkin has been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Inter and Stoke City over the last few days following a report in the Sabah newspaper.
Altiparmak however, told Turkish-football.com: “There have been enquiries from 5-6 teams but I have not mentioned names of any clubs and no agreements have been reached either.”
Liverpool have however, been keeping close tabs on Erkin and sent scouts to the Istanbul derby against Besiktas to watch him play.
The 27-year-old full-back has been one of the Yellow Canaries most in form players this season scoring once and providing eight assists for the Turkish league leaders.
