Inter have made ‘serious’ offer for Lukas Podolski says Wenger [divider]
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Inter have made an offer for Lukas Podolski.
“The first proposal was farcical, after they came back a bit more serious, then we will see what happens now,” Wenger said.
“Inevitable? Not in the transfer market, it’s very difficult to say, but we’ll see later.”
Podolski missed the New Year Day game against Southampton which the Gunners lost 3-0 due to injury.
“He was not available because of injury, but he would have had a big chance to start, yes,” Wenger said.
“He has not practised for a few days now, since our last game at West Ham because of a tight groin.”
Galatasaray were linked with the German international at the start of the season and have reportedly been in talks with Podolski in recent weeks.
