Manchester United could sign PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic if they ensure Champions League football according to football agent Mesrun Izzet.
The agent who works closely with Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola claims that Chelsea have offered £11 million for the Sweden international but that Manchester United could end up clinching the deal.
“Jose Mourinho really wanted him at Chelsea and they offered £11 million. Manchester United are also in the race and if Mourinho takes over that could be a factor but he does want Champions League football and that could prove crucial in what club he decides to join,” Izzet told Radyospor.
Izzet also revealed that Fenerbahce are in the race and that the star striker wants £10 million per-season from the Yellow Canaries.
Fenerbahce are currently the only side in Turkey that could meet Ibrahimovic’s financial demands but even the Istanbul giants would be stretches to pay £10 million per-season.
“If Fenerbahce meet his demands he could sign. They want £10 million per-season and the only club in Turkey that could offer that in the current climate is Fenerbahce,” he added.
Ibrahimovic has already won the league with PSG this season and has already revealed that he will leave the club over the summer.
The 34-year-old told beIN Sports: “For the moment, I will not be at PSG next season. I still have a month and a half left here.
“If they replace the Eiffel Tower with a statue of me, then I will stay.”
Ibrahimovic has won four consecutive league titles at PSG but has yet to lift the Champions League title.
Fenerbahce are currently second in the Super League and are almost certain to book Champions League football next season.
