Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been nominated for the German Football Ambassador award which is presented to Germany international footballers playing abroad promoting the image of the country.
Can is part of the 11-player shortlist and is the only player on the list of Turkish origin. The voting will open on April 25 and last until May 11 and fans can vote here.
The 22-year-old midfield has been called up to the Germany national team international games against Italy and England over the next few days.
Can has been in impressive form for Liverpool establishing himself as a first-team player in central midfielder under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.
The young midfielder is one of two ethnic Turks in the Germany national side along with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.
