West Ham drew 3-3 against Arsenal at Upton Park in the London derby today. On-loan Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike came on at half-time for the Hammers with the score tied at 2-2.

Here are three things we learned about Emenike.

1. Hard working

Emenike worked tirelessly during the second half harassing the Arsenal defensive line but also got back during set pieces and made the highest number of clearances (3) in the West Ham attack. The powerful striker used his strength to his advantage and covered a lot of ground for the home side.

2. Needs more goals

The on-loan Fenerbahce striker only managed five goals for the Istanbul giants last season. Emenike has just two in 10 games for West Ham now and managed just one shot against Arsenal. The Nigerian international could really do with getting a few more goals under his belt if he hopes to stay at the club next season. Emenike does get into dangerous position and makes well timed forward runs but at the end of the day he is a striker and needs to get his name on the scoresheet more often.

3. Marmite

Emenike certainly divides opinion. It seems you either either love him or hate him. Social media was awash with West Ham fans who can’t stand him or absolutely love him there is really very little middle ground with it comes to the Nigerian international striker.
