Can had an influential role over the course of the game making the highest number of passes (74) at an 83 percent accuracy.
The Germany international of Turkish origin did suffer an injury blow towards the end of the game and was forced to come off. The severity of his injury is currently unknown.
The Reds will take on La Liga outfit Villarreal in the semi-final of the Europa League after they eliminated Sparta Prague from the tournament.
