On-loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed that he has two goals from now until the end of the season – to book a place in the Europa League with Kasimpasa and to make the Nigerian national team for the Olympic games in Brazil this summer.
Speaking to the official Chelsea website Omeruo said: “I just want to finish the season as well as possible and try and help Kasimpasa into a European spot. After that we will start thinking about next season. There is also the Olympics which I might be involved in.”
Kasimpasa are currently 5th just two points behind Istanbul rivals Basaksehir in fourth and 10 points off 3rd placed Konyaspor.
Omeruo has established himself as a first team star in the Kasimpasa team that has one of the best defensive records in the league this season.
The 22-year-old was widely praised for his recent performance in the 2-1 victory over league leaders Besiktas especially for being able to keep Germany international Mario Gomez quiet for most of the game.
The young defender is expected to start against Kayserispor in the Turkish Super League tomorrow.
