Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has stated that he is happy with the speed of Emre Can’s recovery.
The German manager did however, decided against giving a date for the 22-year-old’s return.
“He is. He’s recovering much better,” Klopp was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
“There might be a new timescale but I’m not telling you because there is no proof yet! But he is very good.”
Can was initially ruled out for up to six weeks after he damaged ankle ligaments in last week’s 4-3 Europa League victory over Borussia Dortmund.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man has however responded well to the treatment and is set to recover ahead of schedule.
Liverpool take on relegation battlers Newcastle United this weekend in the Premier League. The Red’s take on Villareal in the Europa League next week.
