West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has dismissed rumours linking him with a return to the Turkish Super Lig to manage Fenerbahce.
According to the Mirror newspaper, the former Croatia national team manager has rejected interest in him from Fenerbahce because he wants to remain at West Ham.
“I am excited. I would like to be here, I feel the club is moving,” Bilic was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
“It is exciting. What excites me of course is that there are some new players, but you have that year-in, year-out here.
“Some of the managers that are coming here are making the league one that the whole world can’t wait to start next season. This transfer market is more about the managers that are coming here — on the front pages, it’s going to be Guardiola and Conte coming here.”
Bilic coached Besiktas for two seasons before taking over West Ham last summer and is credited to laying the foundations for the current Black Eagles side that tops the Turkish Super League.
The Hammers boss did not win the league title in Turkey but did not play a single home game over the two years he was at the club due to the stadium reconstruction project.
West Ham are currently in sixth place with 56 points in 34 games and are eight points behind forth placed Arsenal but do have a game in hand.
