Emre Can will prove to be a ‘real bargain’ for Liverpool says Rodgers
[divider]Emre Can will prove to be money well spent says Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Germany U21 international joined the Reds on a £9.75 million move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
“He’s shown his value and there’s absolutely no doubt that over the coming years he’ll prove to be a real bargain for us,” Rodgers was quoted as saying on the official Liverpool website.
“It was a lot of money for a young player but he is a wonderful talent and a great footballer. His stature and power is well suited to the Barclays Premier League”

Can has been under spotlight in recent weeks following his managers decision to play him in defence and due to the penalty he gave away against Chelsea in the first leg of the Carlin Cup semi final.
The Germany U20 international has played Liverpool’s last eight games as a defender despite being signed as a central midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
Can has made 18 appearances for the Reds this season.
