The former Germany international Dietmar Hamann expects Emre Can to improve next season.
According to Hamann, the 22-year-old will improve with experince and that he has been impressed with Can so far.
“We shouldn’t forget how young he [Emre Can] is, so with the experience of playing more games he can only get better and I’ve got to say I have been impressed with him,” Hamann told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I expect more to come from him in a red shirt and next season will be another big one for Emre.”
Can is currently on international duty with the Germany national team at Euro 2016. The Liverpool star was an unused substitute during Germany’s 2-0 win over Ukraine in their opening game.
The 22-year-old star is one of two Germany intentional players of Turkish origin in the side – the other being Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
Can has been selected as a defender for his country. The former Bayer Leverkusen man did play as a full-back and defender under former manager Brendan Rodgers and Germany national team manager Joachim Low has decided to keep him on as a defensive player.
However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has opted to deploy Can in his favoured midfield role.
