Luis Nani scored Portugal’s only goal in their 1-1 draw with Iceland in their opening game of Euro 2016.
The 29-year-old put his side ahead midway though the first half but Portugal were unable to capitilise on their lead. Birkir Bjarnason levelled the score in the second half and Iceland were able to hold up until the final whistle.
Nani has recently been linked with a move to Manchester United. Leading Turkish media agency DHA claim that United have already agreed personal terms with Nani – just a year after selling him.
United are of course managed by a different coach and Jose Mourinho is reported to be keen on bringing in his first Portuguese player to the club.
The Express meanwhile report that Everton are willing to activate Nani’s £6.2 million release clause. Toffees boss Ronald Koeman wants to bring in the 29-year-old winger over the summer in a bid to strengthen his side according to the report.
