Reports of Fenerbahce making an offer for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata sparked a social media storm yesterday.

Fotospor reported that the Yellow Canaries have made a loan offer for the Spanish international midfielder.

Mata is no favourite of current head coach Jose Mourinho and found himself forced out of Chelsea when the pair were at the Blues.

The 29-year-old could again find himself on the way out in a similar fashion to what happened at the Blues.

Fenerbahce do have history with United having signed both Luis Nani and Robin van Persie from the club last summer.
