Manchester United’s newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho is willing to give Juan Mata a chance at Old Trafford according to a report in the Mirror.
The Daily Paper states that the Portuguese tactician will give every play, including Mata a chance to prove themselves during pre-season training.
Mata’s place at Man Utd has been called into question following Jose Mourinho’s appointment in place of Louis van Gaal.
Mourinho offloaded Mata from Chelsea to United during his second spell with the Blues. The Spanish newspaper El Confidencial have claimed the Portuguese manager is open to selling Spain Mata over the summer transfer window.
The report comes amid speculation linking the Spain international with a loan move to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce do have history with United having signed both Luis Nani and Robin van Persie from the club last summer.
Mata scored 10 times while providing 11 assists for United last season and has another two-years left on his contract.
