Besiktas want Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake on loan
“It’s very likely he’ll leave Chelsea on loan,” Kronenberg told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Salah has been closely linked with a loan move to Beşiktaş and Roma but Kronenberg believes the Serie A outfit will not be able to match his wages.
“I spoke to Roma, but the cost of the operation is very high. He is on big wages at the moment and would like to maintain them. We’ll wait and see what happens,” he added.
The Black Eagles have been closely linked with the Egyptian international.
Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman was recently in London and held talks with the Blues over an undisclosed player who was believed to be Salah.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho however, underlined that Salah would not be leaving in his post-match press conference following the Blues 5-0 win against Swansea.
“For Salah to leave someone has to come, and I don’t think we are going to let Salah go on loan and then spend some money to bring somebody else in,” Mourinho was quoted as saying in the Evening Standard.
Salah has only made 13 Premier League appearances since joining Chelsea last year.
The 22-year-old has struggled to settle in at Stamford Bridge since an £11 million move from Basel last January.
Salah has a total of two goals and three assists in 18 appearances for Chelsea.
The Egyptian international will not be participating at the African Cup of Nations due to Egypt not qualifying.
