Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has urged young German players to make the move to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old stated that players must not pass up the opportunity to play for foreign clubs.
“German youth players have excellent reputations, and top foreign top clubs become aware of them quickly,” Ozil was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
“If a player in the German national team asks me how it is in England, I’d reply: ‘If you have the opportunity to do it!’
“If I was again facing a decision whether to move abroad, I would do it like this again, 100 percent.”
Germany beat Northern Ireland 1-0 in their final Euro 2016 Group C game to book a place in the next round. Ozil started for Germany and put on a brilliant display for the national team but was unable to add to his assist tally.
The 27-year-old joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for a club record £42 million back in September 2013.
Ozil struggled in his opening season but was one of the starting players in the Premier League this term. The Germany international registered 19 assists and was unlucky not to break the record of 20 set by Thierry Henry.
