Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing Fenerbahce star Ozan Tufan to Old Trafford over the summer according to according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.
The Newcastle Cronical reports that United have been scouting the 21-year-old midfielder over the past 12 months.
The report would correlate with a statement made by Tufan’s father before he signed for Fenerbahce last summer in which he claimed United have been keeping close tabs on his son.
“Other big European teams have sent scouts to watch Ozan play…AC Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and both Manchester clubs, City and United,” Mehmet Tufan told Spanish newspaper AS.
Tufan starred for Turkey in Euro 2016 and despite his countries elimination from the tournament he remains the youngest goalscorer in the current competition following his incredible strike in the 2-0 win over the Czech Republic.

The young midfielder was one of Turkey’s stand out performers over the course of the tournament and his club manager Vitor Pereira went as far as to describe Tufan as reminding him of a new Yaya Toure.
“He still has a lot to learn and that is my job but the world will soon have a central midfielder on the level of Yaya Toure on their hands,” he said speaking on Sport Tv following Turkey’s 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic.
Fenerbahce signed Tufan from Bursaspor last season and value the promising midfielder as being worth €20 million.
