Besiktas striker Mario Gomez is one of 10 strikers on the West Ham shortlist according to the official West Ham website.
The Insider article on the official site claims that the Hammers are interested in Gomez but does not see the transfer as going ahead as things stand.
Besiktas are keen on signing Gomez on a permanent deal after an impressive season helping his side win the league title in his debut season.
Gomez scored a club record – for a foreign player – 29 goals for the Black Eagles and earned himself a recall to the Germany national team where he has scored twice in Euro 2016 this summer.
Besiktas did however, only loan Gomez last season but he did settle in well and will get first-team Champions League football if he were to stay.
Gomez has not been short of interest having been linked with move major leagues across Europe.
The experienced striker is not expected to make a decision on his future until after Euro 2016.
