Besiktas fans demand transfer of £3m valued Arsenal keeper

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been closely linked with Besiktas for well over a season. The Black Eagles are back in the race for the Colombian international and Arsenal reportedly want £3 million for their number two in goal – according to Futbol Arena.

Besiktas are keen on singing a new keeper with Champions League football on the horizon next season. The Istanbul giants struggled defensively conceding the highest number of goals in the top-three and their goalkeeping position was highlighted as their one major weakness.

Black Eagles fans took to Twitter and started a trend – which is still trending – with a pretty explanatory hashtag, #BeşiktaşFansWantOspina.

We took a look at what some Besiktas fans tweeted under the hashtag.

Fans wrote songs and everything urging him to come.

Ospina would of course be playing in the brand new 41,903 seater stadium on the banks of the Bosphorus.

And this is what Besiktas fans want saving from. Current number one keeper Tolga Zengin made some quite frankly awful blunders resulting in the Black Eagles being knocked out of the Europa League in the knockout stages for two consecutive seasons.

They even gave Ospina his own pair of wings!

There were even calls for Besiktas to send out the airforce to go get him.
