Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to celebrate German’y victory over Italy in the quarter finals of Euro 2016.
Joachim Low’s side booked a spot in the semi finals of the competition following a penalty shoot-out win over the Italians
Ozil was one of the star’s of the show and scored Germany’s opening goal midway though the second half.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the victory along with the caption, “What a night! What a match! Unbelievable! Semifinaaaaal … !!!!”
The Germany intentional of Turkish origin did however, miss his penalty almost blowing his sides chances of booking a place in the semi-finals.
Ozil was arguably Germany’s Man of the Match on the night pulling the strings in the final third, scoring the only goal in regulation time and he also worked hard defensively.
Germany will now take on the winner of the France v Iceland clash in the Euro 2016 semi-final. The winner of that game will take on either Portugal or Wales in the final.
