Arsenal star Mesut Ozil scored his first goal of Euro 2016 in Germany’s Last 16 clash against Italy yesterday.
Ozil gave Germany the lead with a well placed shot from just outside the six yard box. Italy did manage to equalise soon after and push the game to penalties.
The Germany intentional of Turkish origin did however, miss his penalty almost blowing his sides chances of booking a place in the semi-finals.
Germany were not up to their traditional best from the penalty spot but Italy were worse if not at times comical with their shooting technique on the night.
